As a life long crafter Jeri dabbled in every art she had the chance to, falling for painting, candle making, stained glass, mixed media works, & finally metal. She moved to Asheville in 2002 & continued various classes until meeting master craftsman Bill Churlik of Earthspeak Arts in 2008. This is when Silversmithing went from an interest to a beloved endeavor. As a single parent already working 2 jobs the art of finding materials was sometimes a project on to itself, however it allowed for a continued drive to create from locally found, salvaged, & bartered materials. Over the 6 years of working in open group metalsmith studios she was fortunate to spend time with many fellow metal heads. Now with her personal studio & retirement from 20 years in the natural foods industry she enjoys spending time in the shops where her work is on display, when she isn’t creating new works.
Her nickname was coined by a friend in 1994 & is what she started using in 1995 at her first candle craft shows, you can find her on most social media platforms as Jeribella.
